PML-N leaders thrash journalists at Miftah Ismail’s news conference in Karachi

KARACHI: The news conference of Adviser to Prime Minister on Financial Affairs Miftah Ismail on Friday turned chaotic for journalists after one of them complained about the behaviour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Asmat Anwar Mehsud.

During the news conference at Muslim League House in Karachi, a journalist told Ismail that Asmat Anwar’s son thrashed a journalist’s son. As consequence of this statement, UC-37, West Karachi Chairperson Saeedullah Afridi started beating the journalists present on the occasion.

The ensuing havoc was joined in my Asmat Anwar and his son. During the mayhem, cameras were also broken while life threats were also hurled.

The journalists could not league Muslim League House for some time. However, police and Rangers reached the site after some time and took control of the situation.

The newly appointed adviser to the prime minister on financial affairs, Ismail, could not continue his news conference and soon left Muslim League House.
